Frittata for Keto Diet Breakfast!

This meal is called Frittata and this meal are very easy and super delicious. It has simple ingredients and is very fast to prepare. Enjoy this meal the most.

INGREDIENTS

·         6 large eggs as it would be perfect, but if the eggs are small, then use 8 eggs.
·         1/4 cup heavy cream
·         1 teaspoon.
·         kosher salt.
·         4 slices thick-cut bacon ( around 8 ounces), chopped into small pieces.
·         2 small gold potatoes, peeled and chopped in thin sliced
·         1/4 teaspoon freshly black pepper.
·         2 cups baby spinach.
·         2 cloves  and minced garlic. You can use any of the two of them together.
·         2 teaspoons  thyme leaves
·         1 cup shredded cheese, such as Fontina, or cheddar (or any type of cheese that you prefer.

INSTRUCTIONS

The first step is, Heat the oven and start to arrange a rack in the middle of the oven and set the heat to be at 400°F.

The second step, start whisking the eggs along with the cream and mix together as well as add the ½ teaspoon of the salt to them and keep whisking in a small bowl and set aside.




The third step, start with the cooking of the bacon that is shopped and places it in a non-stick and a frying pan and put it on medium heat. Start the cooking of the bacon till it becomes crispy and that takes around 8 to 10 minutes and then, remove the bacon along with the slotted spoon on a paper towel and lined plate.  

 

In the fourth step, you can heat the 2 tablespoons of the oil in the skillet and then, add the potatoes. After the potatoes are fried in the bacon fat after you have removed around 2 tablespoons of the fats of the bacon.

 

In the fifth step, return the pan on medium heat, and afterward, sprinkle the potatoes with pepper and around ½ teaspoon of salt. Keep stirring and till you find they are tender and they are color brown for about 4 to 6 minutes.

 


In the sixth step, Add the spinach and then, garlic and thyme, and it would be by piling the spinach in the pan and then add the garlic and the thyme and cooking while stirring for around 30 seconds to 1 minute but till the spinach gets wilt. Afterward, you can return the bacon to the pan and stir in an even manner.

 

In the seventh step, add the cheese and spread the cheese on the vegetables in one layer and then flatten with a spatula. Sprinkle the cheese at the top and melt the cheese.

 

In the eighth step, add the egg mix to the skillet by pouring the egg on the vegetables and the cheese. Keep tilting the pan so that the eggs would be cooked evenly on the vegetables and that shall be taking around 2 minutes till the edges are all set.

 

In the ninth step, you can bake all together for around 8 to 10 minutes. However, before removing it from the oven, you can put the fork in the middle and remove it and see whether it is clean or not. If it comes out clean, then it is cooked. Once the Frittata is cooked, you can remove it from the oven, if not, and then leave it for a couple of minutes but not more in order that it is not burnt. To have a crispy and brown top, then leave the frittata in the broiler for a couple of minutes at the final stage of the cooking process.



Lave to cool and have a bonne appetite. You can slice it in wedges.
