Nothing beats a wonderful hit morning egg wrap that is mouthwatering and mind-blowing. Try these recipes for delicious morning egg wraps.


1- Simple egg wraps

Ingredients


  •      4eggs 
  •          2 tbsp (30 mL)water       
  •      1/4 tsp (1.25 mL)each salt and pepper
  •         4cheddar slices (or cheese of choice)
  •          1 cup (250 mL)fresh spinach
  •         1avocado, pitted, peeled and sliced
  •         4ham slices

Instructions

Whisk eggs, water, salt and pepper.


Spray 8-inch (20 cm) non-stick skillet with cooking spray. Heat over medium-high heat. Pour in half of the egg mixture to form a thin layer along the bottom of the skillet. As eggs set around edge of skillet, with spatula, gently push cooked portions toward centre of skillet. Tilt and rotate skillet to allow uncooked egg to flow into empty spaces. When egg is cooked, remove to a cutting board or plate for assembly. Cook the rest of the egg mixture.


Layer cheese, spinach, avocado, and ham down the centre of the egg omelette.


Roll the egg omelette like a wrap, cut in half, and enjoy! 


2- Beef & Cheese Omelette Roll-ups

Ingredients   

  •     eggs
  •          Pinch each salt and pepper
  •         2 tbsp (30 mL)butter, divided
  •          4slices Cheddar cheese
  •          4slices ham

Instructions

  1. Whisk together eggs, 4 tsp (20 mL) water, salt and pepper. Heat half of the butter in 10-inch (25 cm) nonstick skillet set over medium heat; pour in half of the egg mixture, swirling to coat bottom of pan.
  2.  Cook for 1 to 2 minutes or until eggs begin to set. Flip over and top with 2 cheese slices. Cook for about 1 minute or until eggs are fully set, then transfer omelette to cutting board. Repeat with remaining egg mixture, cheese and butter to make another omelette.
  3. Arrange ham slices down along centre of each omelette. Roll up tightly to enclose filling. Slice each roll into 8 pieces. Skewer with tooth-picks if desired.

3- Cheesy Breakfast & Brunch Egg burrito Wraps



Ingredients

  • 3-4 slices of bacon diced
  • 1 cup bell pepper diced
  • 1/4 cup onion diced
  • 1 jalapeno de-seeded, rinsed and diced (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup Cheese mozzarella, quesadilla or cheddar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons half & half or heavy cream or milk or sour-cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 6 medium flour tortillas or 4 large
  • oil for pan.

Instructions

Heat a large non-stick pan to high heat. Add diced bacon, bell peppers, onion, jalapeno and olive oil. Cook on high for 3-4 minutes or until bacon is crispy. Transfer to a bowl, wipe down pan and return the pan to heat to cook eggs.


In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, half & half and salt. Pour 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter into the pan and heat for 1 minute. Add eggs and 1/2 cup of shredded cheese. Cook, stirring frequently for 2 minutes or just until the eggs begin to set. transfer eggs into another bowl and wipe down pan again.


Lay each tortilla on a clean flat Surface, fill each tortilla with scrambled eggs, some of the veggie mixture and cheese. Fold into a tight burritos shape. Toast for 1-2 minutes per side with a teaspoon of olive oil or butter in the same pan until the outside is crispy and golden. Serve warm with your favorite salsa.


You can also add avocado, sriracha, cilantro, and lime juice into the wraps if desired.


4- Other Egg wraps ideas



Directions

In a small bowl, whisk the eggs, milk and pepper. In a large skillet, heat oil. Add egg mixture; cook and stir over medium heat until eggs are completely set. Stir in cheese and ham.


Spoon egg mixture down the center of each tortilla; roll up.

Freeze option: Wrap cooled egg wrap in foil or parchment and freeze in a freezer container. To use, thaw in refrigerator overnight. Remove foil or parchment; wrap tortilla in a moist paper towel. Microwave on high until heated through, 30-60 seconds. Serve immediately.
